Join us - Ages 8-to-16 for PYBS Softball this spring!

Dear PYBS Families,

With the fall softball season wrapping up just a few short weeks ago, the 2017 PYBS softball season has officially come to an end! And what a terrific season we had! Here is a recap of all the wonderful accomplishments and new programs that were put into place this year!
Summer All-Star team accomplishments:

All 3 of our summer all-star teams had highly successful summers! Here are some of the highlights!

  • 10U-The 10U all-stars started off the season by finishing as runners-up in the State tournament, a terrific accomplishment! They ended the season as undefeated champions in the south shore summer softball league!
  • 12U-The 12U girls had a hugely successful summer! The girls won the State tournament and represented Massachusetts in the regional tournament! They went on to become champions in both the Jen Kane tournament and the south shore summer softball league! Congrats girls!
  • 14U-The 14U team had a terrific summer and came away as Jen Kane tournament champions!

This was the first year we were able to expand our softball program to include girls as young as 6 years old! We had a very successful first year with over 20 girls registered to play in our new instructional league. We are working hard to make this program even better this year! Please spread the word to any girls 6-7 years old who may be interested to come and learn how to play the game of softball while having fun! We are also looking for parents willing to coach the girls this year, please let us know if you might be interested!

We reintroduced our winter softball clinics and had a terrific turnout of girls wanting to get a jumpstart on the spring softball season! Keep an eye out for upcoming information regarding the winter clinics again this year!

The new PYBS board of directors has been working hard to make the 2018 softball season even bigger
and better! We have been hard at work for months planning many upcoming events! Here is a sneak
peak of some of the events we have been working on!

  • Winter softball clinics: We are still working on the dates for our winter softball clinics-keep an eye out for further information!
  • Tryouts: The tryouts for the spring season will be rescheduled for indoors this winter. We will let you know when a date has been determined! Same for Farm League Baseball
  • Jen Kane tournament- We are already working hard on the plans for the Jen Kane tournament this summer! We will be looking for many volunteers this summer!
  • Opening Day - The opening day committee has been hard at work planning opening Day 2018! This will surely be an exciting day and one not to miss!!

As always, the softball league cannot operate without your help! If you are interested in volunteering in any way, please let us know! We are looking for coaches for every level, please let us know if you would be interested in coaching a team this year!

Please contact us if you or someone you know may be interested in sponsoring a softball team! Sponsorship money is extremely important in providing the funds we need to purchase new
equipment and schedule additional learning opportunities for our girls, including the winter clinics! We are looking to revamp our Senior League uniforms and have them emulate the boys in baseball with sponsors being the focus of the uniform. If you are interested in helping PYBS while also getting your own jersey designed - contact Nicole Bacci ASAP!

If you have not yet registered for the spring season, please click on the REGISTER NOW banner on our new website home page at and register today!
